Merchandising Associate
Cafe Jose is seeking one to two individuals who are passionate about people and coffee to partner with us and help expand our sales of specialty coffees in northeast Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire. We’re a small but established roaster with products positioned in the local grocery channels as well as coffee shops and food service. Our focus is single origin coffees from the Tarrazu region of Costa Rica and increasingly other excellent regions. We’ve been on the market for 10 years and have developed a loyal following thanks to a great product that anyone can feel confident about.
The position’s duties include coffee samplings at grocery stores, customer site visits, assisting owners in sales presentation, and coffee delivery to grocery and foodservice locations. You’ll work closely with Cafe Jose’s co-founders and partners to both conceive and execute retail strategies. You must have your own transportation.
We’re seeking candidates that are first and foremost passionate about people and making connections, coffee (of course!), responsible, diligent, motivated, and possess an entrepreneurial spirit. Experience in the coffee industry is appreciated, but not required.
This part time role has the potential to grow to full time. As a ground floor hire, you will be first in line to take on additional responsibilities over time as we expand our marketing and fulfillment team.
